No longer seeing popups for virus definition updates in Avast 2015

Recently updated Avast Free to 2015 (v2015.10.0.2208). No longer seeing popups for virus definition updates. Set to automatic as with 2014. Avast shows definitions are up to date. Time of updates is current. Is this normal?
