Viruses in System Volume Information
« on: September 11, 2005, 04:52:01 PM »
I keep getting AVAS messages about the virus Win32:Trojan-gen within the System Volume Information folder in my D: Unit.

How can it be possible?

If the specified area is under Windows XP control. How can it have virusess?

It's impossible to access this area from the explorer it's restricted.

Could it be that this is an AVAST error in it's detect engine.

Can anyone give some kind of idea of what's going on.

I have no idea.

I have attached an image of the messages displayed in the Warnings Visor.

This has been explained tons of times before.
Please use the search option on this board before asking.

Solution:
- disable system restore
- reboot
- problem is solved
