If the client has not made any connection to the console then you need to make the changes in the program files.
* Be sure to disable the self defense on the client which can be found in the troubleshooting on the client.
1. Program Files - bcc.cfg under C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\conf
2. Program Data - C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\var
Edit bcc.cfg under c:\program files\..
use_proxy=0 - off / 1 - on
proxy_port=port number
proxy_ip=IP address or host name
proxy_auth=0 - NONE, 1 - BASIC , 2- NTLM
proxy_user=username:password
An Example is below, then make sure you restart the services.

Then make sure to restart the services.
