False positive?
« on: June 03, 2015, 05:23:23 PM »
Hello gurus,

There is a website that I cannot enter because Avast says it has the Infection: HTML:RedirME-inf [Trj]

I use a PC, however, all of the other people I know use Macs, so apparently they don't have anti-virus software.

Here is the URL: mortgagecapital.wjbradley.com/

Because no one else I know seems to have this problem when they visit this site, could this be a false positive? I've already contacted Avast support, but that might take ages to get a response.

Are there any other sites that can test this URL to ensure that it's not going to be harmful to my PC?

Thanks so much for your help!

Karen

Mac users also need to have anti-malware software installed.
If they don't, their system can get infected.

The detection is URL:mal

avast will not contact you unless they need more information.

A lot of online scanners can be found on http://www.ache.nl/
