Author Topic: Avast Pro will not run -- reinstalled, now says no endpoints available  (Read 1323 times)

My Avast stopped running....big red banner saying no protection and that background services were not running. So, I downloaded uninstaller and Pro reinstall files. Went into safe mode, removed, rebooted and reinstalled. Now, it can't update or do anything and gave me an error message about no endpoints available from endpoint mapper??  I have no clue what that even means. When I tried to put in my account information to link back up to my license, it said it couldn't log the new install into my account.

I'm running Windows 7. Not sure what other info someone might need to help me. At this point, I have no clue what to do. My license is current. I'm at a loss and already lost an hour of work time today trying to fix this.

Help please. I don't know what to do.....

That sounds as though there may be another AV installed, is that correct ?

If not what programme was installed prior to this happening
