Create a shortcut for allowing Remote Control
« on: July 20, 2013, 03:20:33 PM »
Hi, just wondering if anyone knows of a way to create a shortcut on my Mom's Windows 8 Desktop which would invoke the "Allow Remote Control" feature?  It would be easier than talking her through all of that.  Thanks for the help!

As far as I'm aware there is no such shortcut designed into avast; think about it, that could introduce a weakness if such a shortcut could be made, then in theory it could be used for other shortcuts.

Not sure what you have in the way of screen capture applications (I use SnagIt for screen captures, but it also does videos), you could do a short video of the steps to do it, so that little tutorial video could sit on her desktop.

Or just a short series of screenshots as a guide.

Such a shortcut would be very convenient.

Safe zone shortcut in not a weakness.
TeamVeawer shortcut in not a weakness.
But Remote assistance shortcut is a weakness. LOL!

Weakness is not willing to make Remote assistance shortcut to be available.

Considering this topic is over two and a half years old, this is a moot point as this version of the avast UI is long gone.
