Avast wants to reboot 2-3 Times a Day

Ever since update 11.1.2253 Avast wants to reboot 2-3 times a day.
The version 11.1.2253 and the definitions 160327-2 have not changed.
Any clues or troubleshooting would be appreciated.

I did a clean install before the rebooting issue because the on demand scanner UI kept locking up.
I started another thread about that issue.
I did a repair on this issue and waited a day and no more rebooting.
I did an on demand scan and the UI locked up again.
I have run Avast for five years without issue until update 11.1.2253.
The UI started locking up on two different machines, XP x64 and Win 7 X86, after update 11.1.2253.
I'm sorry, I had no choice but to uninstall Avast.
I installed Avira on both machines and have scanned all the files the Avast kept locking up on without issue.
Avira found hundreds of instances of viruses, trojans, and PUPs that Avast never found in five years of use.
