Reporting a False Positive for files larger than 50MB?
« on: May 25, 2016, 04:23:21 PM »
Hi. I made a game called Just a Cleric that's being distributed through Steam under the Multimedia Fusion Filename "JAC.exe" and some users are reporting that Avast is saying it's a virus and is auto deleting the file. This file was uploaded through Steam / Valve and is 100% virus free, as many other people have been able to download and play it without issue. Can you please add this to your false positive list? I tried to submit it myself through your form but the max file size is 50MB.

P.S. The file size for the game is 72MB and won't let me attach it to your standard form. If there's another way to report this as being a good file, please email me and let me know or let me know here!

Thanks for your help!

ftp.avast.com
Upload the file there and submit a ticket mentioning you believe it is a false positive and the filename.

Thank you, Eddy, but is there a more secure place to do this at?
This is a product currently for sale.

Thank you, sir.

Submit a ticket and mention a location where avast can download the file.

If you are saying avast is reporting 'all' files over 50MB ?
Can you please post a screenshot of the alert window or the file name, location and malware name given.
