Unable to boot due to aswVmm.sys.
« on: August 06, 2016, 09:59:41 PM »
No idea what happened. Last night, my PC was working fine. I turned off my PC and went to sleep. I wake up, turn on my PC, and I get automatically sent to the Windows Startup Repair.

I let the startup repair do its thing, but unfortunately, it can't fix my problem. I open up the details of the log and I have pinpointed that aswVmm.sys is corrupted and preventing me from booting. I tried to run a System Restore with multiple restore points and all returned with a "failed to extract the original copy of the directory from the restore point" message.

Here is my FRST log: http://pastebin.com/mM0es4Sg
