Conflict in Chrome? (Off Topic)
« on: August 14, 2016, 07:27:17 PM »
Does anyone else have a conflict between Ghostery and Dr. Web Anti-Virus Link Checker in Chrome?

I don't like trackers and Chrome doesn't have "scan url with" add-on (Firefox does).
It seems that in Chrome Ghostery and Dr. Web don't play well together.

Thanks! I will contact the Dr. Web vendor/author to see what can be done.
I do have the VirusTotal extension but I also like Dr. Web. It would be nice if
all extensions would work with all browsers. There is a Firefox add-on which
will allow Chrome extensions to run in Firefox.

A long time ago I had a conflict with Ghostery in Firefox and I didn't have Dr Web link scanner either.  I believe it conflicted with other add-ons that had a similar task. I have never used it since.

My signature has the main security based add-ons that I have used for many years and most likely when I tried Ghostery.
