Avast disabled by manual

I am currently having problems with Avast. Since the latest windows update whenever I start Windows, Avast loads, but the defenses are turned off and I have to turn it on again manually (not to mention that Windows Defender is also turned off since the new Windows update but I can't reenable that) and I am not quite sure what to do. I use Windows 7 home premium 32 bit with sp1. and my Avast version is 17.2.2288.

- Which Avast..? (Free/Pro/IS/Premier)
- Other security related software installed..?
- Which AV(s) did you use before Avast..?
