Secure DNS
« on: July 06, 2017, 07:30:15 PM »
I'm using a DNS program (Unlocator) which is able to change my DNS settings. The previous version of Avast blocked this program, but I was able to get around it by the following method.

Secure DNS is part of Active protection in Avast 2016. To enable or disable this feature, go to Settings (gear icon) → Active protection. Next to Secure DNS, click on the ON/OFF switch. If you are turning it off, you can choose whether to do so temporarily or permanently in the menu which appears.

A few days ago I installed the latest version of Avast Premium and the above no longer works. I can't find "Active protection" in settings.

How am I able to disable secure DNS in the latest version of Avast?
