[SOLVED] ADNM catalog not fully updated
« on: May 22, 2006, 01:36:39 PM »
Dear,
I'm the IT manager of an international company.
As I'm not very happy with another well known antivirus solution, I'm currently testing Avast Standard Suite to see if we can use it in all our companies (Belgium, France, Netherlands, Luxemburg, Switzerland, UK, USA, Spain, China).  ;D

I installed ADNM, discovered computers on the network and installed my first netclients BUT, my problem is that:
the client computer is detected in the catalog but no information about the computer is shown in the catalog (except IP) and it is not shown in the "computer with agents" dynamic catalog.  ???

FYI, I'm using a trial version.
Thanks for your help.  ;)

I used a deployment task and it worked as my client is running a managed version of Avast but on an ADNM point of view, the catalog is not giving any information on the client computer

So, obviously, the clients have some kind of problem communicating with the AMS (Avast Management Server).

Maybe a firewall is blocking the traffic?

Please, on one such machine, go to the folder <avast>\data\log, and post the contents of the files error.log and warning.log (if present).

Thanks
Vlk

Yes it was, on the server... It is the MS Windows Firewall... No Comment...
Another question regarding this: which port is using ADNM?
