Help - Please
« on: August 04, 2006, 03:56:58 PM »

I recently upgraded from XP-Home to XP-Pro.
The installation was done as an upgrade not a new (clean) install.
Since the conversion, My removable USB drives aren't assigned a drive letter
by default. I have to do it manually each time the USB Drive is inserted thru
Computer management.
How can I change this so that it again happens on the fly.
Hopefully the picture helps.  It's a real pain.

Maybe the TweakXP could do it. Just add the drivers to the autoplay list.

2.10.0.0

But it was just a shot...
In fact, I have large HDD on USB and it always address it to the same drive letter.
Other possibility, is using TrueCrypt and mount the USB on a specific letter. You'll receive security and privacy but you'll have to 'logon' your USB drive each time you connect it to a computer that have TrueCrypt installed.

Is the program itself available without having to download and install Autopatcher?
