« on: June 21, 2009, 01:37:03 AM »
Is there an Avast version currently compatible with Windows Seven 64 bits ?

If not, when will it be available ?

Thanks

Hi Nounours18200!

Avast! does work without any problems on Windows Seven 64bit. I'm running it myself. ;)
Only the Boot-time-scan (like in all the other 64bit OS) does not work (yet)...

avast boot time scanning is the only missed feature and will be available, probably, next year, a little bit after avast 5 gets gold in the end of the year.

This si a good news because Micro$oft promotes AVG as a "compatible antivirus".... and I like "my" Avast that I have been using for so many years...

avast is fully compatible with 64 bits.
Besides, it's not Microsoft who promotes AVG, but AVG that pays a lot to Microsoft to do that.
