how to stop scanning drives on startup
« on: February 14, 2007, 05:31:23 AM »
I have stupidly enabled the drives scan on startup. It takes forever at every reboot. How can I stop it ever starting on startup or restart? The esc key does not work either.

It sounds like you may have the boot time scan set to scan at each startup. Open the main program and check the settings for scheduled boot time scans.

If you schedule a boot-time scan, it takes place only once, during the next reboot. Unless you schedule it again, it won't appear on the subsequent boots.
