Cannot connect to download96.avast.com

Yes, i have avast on two home machines. About everytime that i get online my avast pops up a message saying "Cannot connect to download96.avast.com"
not letting my avast update. Please help

Welcome to the forum.
This sounds more like a firewall problem.
Be sure that aswUpdSv.exe is allowed to access the internet.

What is your firewall ?
Does it allow avast.setup (the avast update process) Internet access ?

You should really only have one firewall enabled, I assume you mean Norton Personal Firewall (NPF) and not any of their AV products ?

The windows firewall doesn't have outbound protection so you should check NPF and ensure it allows avast.setup.
