new torjan!!!!spreading quickly
« on: June 09, 2007, 01:43:11 PM »
well now that i have got ur attention i detected a new malware during my daily avg scan that avast does not detect..i sent it to virustotal and to my suprise every other software detects it.. i sent it virus@avast.com but usually wat every i send is not added to the database so far so i have attached the malware with .txt extension so one of the moderators can download it and send it to avast for analysis ..
at least this way it'll get implemented in the database..

Hi sasin44,

You should not post twice here to get more attention.

Attachments removed.
This is not a way how to submit them, please zip them and send to virus@avast.com

Checked your submissions, I've seen 8x the same sample a week ago and 2x one sample 2 days ago.

Won't be good an automatic answer (email) for the user or a mark into the Chest that the file was already submitted?
Indeed we're impatient when the subject are signature updates...
What do you think Kubecj?

My assumption is 8 submissions of the same sample a week ago (presumable whilst you were trying to establish if your email was sent or received) and 2 submissions of two different single samples two days ago.

I too believe an auto responder to acknowledge receipt with a 'thanks for taking the time to submit this sample to avast, whilst it isn't a personal response, it at least confirms receipt. It shouldn't be a difficult task to have an auto response.
