Siteadvisor did not warn for malicious site in India!
« on: November 12, 2007, 06:23:35 PM »
Hi malware fighters,

Again a well known website from India has been hacked and abused to infect visitors with 0-day security holes for Windows. The IndiaTimes website tried to install at least 434 types of malware , some of which are not yet recognised by AV scanners. Even visitors with a fully updated and patched Windows system are/were vulnerable. Users of siteadvisor weren't warned the site was spreading malware: http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/indiatimes.com

According to DrWeb's the site has been cleansed.
