I am going to lose it with IE!!!
« on: January 02, 2008, 10:56:38 PM »
God I can't wait to get a Mac...hehehe

I am fed up with Windows and IE. But unfortunately, I have toi live with it since I have a PC. :( BOourns

So heres my problem. I need IE to open Adobe (PDF) documents from the net, because if I try it with FF it gives me an error message. Also when I am on MSN Messenger and I want to check my mail, it automatically opens with IE.

So now recently, Every time I:

-open my inbox
-open a PDF document
-Log out of Hotmail

I get a "debugging" script error.

What do I need to do to fix this? I downloaded updates from Microsoft and it did not help.
I also read somewhere that I need to change something in IE...but where exactly, I do not know.

Please help....as I am ready to throw it out the window and buy a Mac NOW!!!!  ;D

Try Foxit Reader in Firefox: it reads PDF files and is much smaller and quicker than Adobe.

Use Trillian instead of MSN messenger: it opens mail in your default browser.

Installing IE7 on some systems causes lots of scripting errors:

Found the solution here:

IE7 still has some irritating bugs, such as setting itself as the icon for all HTML files even when it is not the default browser, but that doesn't bother me too much now- I'm using Ubuntu.  ;D
