Outlook and avast
« on: September 18, 2024, 10:12:33 AM »
Hi,

I recently tried sending a .rar file by email and avast detected a trojan horse. It was from an old file that I know for sure has no virus in it as it contains a program I used for long. Maybe a case of a false positive?

At any rate, the problem is that avast keeps detecting a threat (trojan horse) in the file path: incoming email from: sys admin. Process: outlook.exe. Detected by: mail shield. Alert IDs: 5646c1442daa/2024-09-18T07:26:57.616Z   1cdfa75bfe4e/2024-09-18T07:27:51.504Z

It's giving me a hard time as the threat secured alert keeps popping up every minute. Any thoughts?

Thank you.
Pablo

You should contact MS and ask there, it is likely an MS-related issue.
