ok, i posted about this on wilders... someone told me to download avast antirootkit and scan in safeboot mode..

i did, and i had a whopping 345 rootkits... O.o

he told me to post the log here in hopes of getting help on what happened, so here it is ---beware, it's giant!---

Are you sure it was 345 rootkits or 345 hidden objects, which is something entirely different ?

The stand alone avast anti-rootkit is still in beta, so I don't know if that is part of the issue, but the above question is more important.

What AV are you using as the anti-=rootkit is an integral part of avast and that isn't in beta ?

There should be a summary of the log with something like this:

Scan finished: 15 June 2008 12:22
Hidden files found: 0
Hidden registry items found: 0
Hidden processes found: 0
Hidden services found: 0
Hidden boot sectors found: 0

I'm not to familiar with the entries in the anti-rootkit logs.
