Miranda and Trillian installed - no IM Provider??
« on: June 30, 2008, 05:44:12 AM »
After learning for sure Avast! 4.8.1201 Home does not support Pidgin 2.4.2 I installed Miranda 0.7.7 and Trillian 3.1 (Basic May 19, 2008).

I still do not have an Instant Messenger Provider within On-Access Protection Control, even after a reboot.

I used both Setup "Repair" and "Change" (from within Add or Remove Programs) with no effect.

Before I uninstall and re-install Avast!, is there some way to get it to pull up the Instant Messaging Provider?

Thank you.

Both of these are included in the avast P2P provider ... but let's keep finding it to your other thread about available active providers.

I suggest an installation from the scratch:

1. Uninstall avast from Control Panel first.
2. Boot.
3. Download the latest version of Avast Uninstall and use it for complete uninstallation.
4. Boot.
5. Install again the latest avast! version.
6. Boot.
7. Check and post the results.
