I wouldn't discount it completely, the forums that essexboy frequents could well have some information we aren't yet privy to.

What I did know was that the resources of CC's were under fire for considerable time and suffered long term DOS attacks, apparently from those that were not so happy with their services, but that is the fate of the "untouchables",

Yes, there have been many times when they have been subjected to denial of service attacks and have had to change hosts on at least one occasion because the Host couldn't cope or protect them against these DDOS attacks.

So perhaps it simply became too much, but that is speculation.

One thing for sure they certainly made come miscreants very unhappy and long may that continue if possible.

A similar fate happened to hpHosts forum with it being first threatened then defaced then taken off line.
