Keyboard sniffers to steal data
« on: November 22, 2008, 08:39:07 AM »
Computer criminals could soon be eavesdropping on what you type by analysing the electromagnetic signals produced by every key press.      The EPFL students tested 11 different keyboard models that connected to a computer via either a USB or a PS/2 socket. The attacks they developed also worked with keyboards embedded in laptops.

Very good hint... specially when you're using computers that are public or not yours.

Hi YoKenny and bob3160,

Never heard of this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3383
and this: http://www.qfxsoftware.com/
So why not use keylogging protection, I have it installed since years and years,
because I saw this coming to a place near you,

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

People are too smart for there own good... How can They even do stuff like that, I know they can - It's just a little unbelievable.

I think Hackers will win in the end

At least it's in a short range. But I guess keyloggers are for that... =Z

There will always be people that like to steal as other legal work bores them so they need a challenge and if they can earn $$$ then so much the better.
