Reinstall my avast! 4 Pro capability on my PC

Support Staff -

You will see from the email traffic below, that I purchased Avast! 4 Professional Edition for three (3) years.  I lsrecently suffered a computer casualty that forced me to reinstall Windows XP.  I also want to reinstall my Avast! program, but have been unable to re-register because I do not know what user name to use.  I have the license information, but still need the proper user name to re-register.  Can you help me?  Is there any way I can talk with your support staff?  Please advise soonest!

I have tried several different forms of my name and/or email address as
my "user name" without success. Can someone help me with what is needed

Hi d_hemke!

First inmediately remove the License-key from your post! (via the edit-button).
Also I recommend to remove all other personal information (E-Mail,... and so on)

So why/what/where do you want to register?
You just have to install Avast! Pro and insert your license-key. (The string you should remove!)
This is for the Home-Edition and you already have a license key, so you don't need to register any more, but can see how to insert it to the program: http://www.avast.com/files/tutorials/insert_key.htm

Your post is probably the best example of "What not to do in a public forum"
You've revealed a valid registration key to every one and the only way to rectify this is to
invalidated that key and issue you a new one.
You've openly invited all Bots scanning this forum to harvest your email address and all other information about you
and start bombarding you with SPAM.

Please follow Davids advice and rectify your post and contact avast sales for a new registration key.

Maybe edit the original post removing the email and the last part of the key.
Also, you could say the story to sales@avast.com for further help.
