how to remove helpersvsccs.exe

Hello,

I'v got a computer here with windows xp professional. when the computer starts up, no problems, when he logs in no problem until avast says : trojan horse found in c:/windows/system32/helpersvsccs.exe .

Now I tried to remove it by hand, it was deleted, but it retuns every time i restart the system. so i tried with avast to remove it. same problem.

so i was wondering. how can i remove this one?

searched the net but nothing useful found.

If it keeps coming back, there is likely to be an undetected or hidden element to the infection that restores or downloads the file again. What is your firewall ?

If you have XP, vista32bit or Win2k, you could enable a boot time scan. Right click the avast icon, select Start avast! Antivirus, a memory scan will take place followed by the opening of the Simple User Interface, Menu, 'Schedule boot-time scan...' Or see http://www.digitalred.com/avast-boot-time.php.

If you haven't already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it, preferably in safe mode and report the findings (it should product a log file).

• 2. MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, On-Demand only in free version http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/malwarebytes/mbam-setup.exe, right click on the link and select Save As or Save File (As depending on your browser), save it to a location where you can find it easily later.

Dat je het weer terugkomt is een teken dat je systeem herstel functie het weer terug zet, denk ik.
Ik stel voor dat je eerst een scan doet met MBAM, haal dat op vanaf hier: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.php
Gelijk MBAM updaten tot de allerlaatste signatuur en dan een snelle scan doen.
Het kan zijn dat je nog een keer op moet starten, na de scan, sta dat dan toe.
Geef mij ook nog even een HijackThis log tekstje bijgevoegd bij je volgende posting, dan gaan we daar ook nog even naar kijken en naar alle systeemtaken, die er op je Win XP Pro draaien.
Rustigjes dit allemaal afwerken en reken maar dat alles goed gaat komen, "zeker en vast", zoals jullie daar zeggen,
