bob3160, do you have the latest version of SRWare's Iron?
« on: March 12, 2009, 11:00:10 PM »
Hi bob3160,

I know that you are a user of SRWare's Iron, the Google Chrome variant without the so-called issues,
the latest version is: 2.0.168.0(10702) You have that one?

I like the speed of the browser, and whenever I have content that Fx does not know how to handle properly, with my Iron it comes out "as clean as an ironed shirt",

Hi Tech,

No you have to upload from their site, it is a GoogleChrome coded clone without the well-known Google privacy and tracking issues. Also the ad-blocker has to be brought in from this SRWare site, bob3160 likes this browser, it is fast, I use it whenever I got stuck with Firefox or Flock as a second optional browser because I use IE just for MS downloads,

Damien,
Their site still reflects the version mentioned by Tech. Which as far as I know, is the latest version.
I have no idea how or where you got version 2.0.168.0(10702)
Please enlighten us.
Thanks   :)

Their update page :
http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron_download.php
doesn't show that version.
If you try to open:
http://www.srware.net/downloads/
You receive the following message:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /downloads/ on this server.

I think it's time they fixed their update service.  >:(

Thanks Damien, I now have the new version and it's available at:
http://mysharedfiles.no-ip.org/Browsers/srware_iron.exe

This download is much faster than the one available from their server. (Slower than molasses)
