removing Norton?

my 60 day trial (Norton)was up so i am trying avast i downloaded it and seems to be scanning ok but i didnt uninstall norton its says it disabled :o
should i  uninstall norton and will i have to reinstall avast ::)

you have to remove Norton, just the following link for removal tool

avast should be ok as is

Thxs for the link and I thought  i needed to but im so afraid to do things and not be able to fix it  like trying this one out Hope all goes well

After removing Norton then having avast! it will seem like you have a brand new faster sytem and the folks here are always glad to help.  8)

Disable is not enough, you need to full uninstall Norton and then run the specialized tool to remove some of the trash left behind.
