Its been about 2 months since I went from Vista to 7. Filled out the need my old key and tried to register for a new key about 6 times since the switch and still have not gotten any key at all. Spam folder is empty.

I have seen it take nearly 24 hrs to get a key but not that long. What email are you using? I have seen AOL block some emails for no reason in the past.
Nothing in the spam folder and the settings are to send all spam to the spam folder.
