Forbes officially announced the list of top ten richest persons in the world last day and just to surprise everyone, the list does not have Bill Gates on the top. Now the World has a new richest person, Carlos Slim Helu, also known as Carlos Slim. Carlos Slim Helu is a Mexican engineer, businessman and philanthropist who is into telecommunications industry these days and won property worth of around US$53.5 billion through his holdings.
Carlos Slim Helu surpassed the wealth of Bill Gates. He was able to raise money for a telecommunications company by purchasing standby letters of credit which enabled him to obtain guaranteed loans which provided the capital.
