ok i did what tech said an i turned off the sys restore  then i ran avast and it had no problems!! ye haw!! lol

Create a new and clean restore point now...

not sure how to create a new point but i turned restore back on!

Turning system restore back on I believe creates a restore point at that time.

Or you can do it manually:
1. Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System tools, System Restore.
2. In the pop-up that appears fill in the radio button to Create a Restore Point
3. Click NEXT
4. Enter a useful name that you will remember if you need to find this again (Clean Restore Point)
5. Click CREATE

Try this:
uninstall your Avast ( Windows Add/Delete ).
Download Norton 360 2010 version ( trail version for 30 days), installed, updated, then fully scan your computer.
You ought have then deleted the so called virus , and your computer cleaned ( by Norton 360 ).

Reinstalled the Avast, see this  if help

If you had gone over this topic instead of jumping in with both feet, you would have seen that the malware has been removed.

Norton is almost as hard to get rid of as any virus once installed, it can be a right pig to remove.

if he removed norton the the system is corrupted then install avast and blame its very good idea

Read the topic and you will see.

On the final avast scan (and after a slew of other scans) the only thing found was in the system volume information folder, a restore point (likely result of it being removed from elsewhere and saved by system restore).

Now that system restore has been disabled and enabled it clears ALL restore points.
