Unfortunatelly, the address corresponds to a commonly used runtime function... we'd need to find out where it was called from.
Please try the following:
1. Disable avast! self-defense (Settings / Troubleshooting)
2. Open the file <avast5>\Setup\Setup.ini
3. Append the following two lines at the end:
[BufferLog]
Enable=1Then try the update again - and when it crashes, get the file SetupDbg.log from the Setup folder (not setup.log) and upload it to
ftp://ftp.avast.com/incomingIt won't tell us exactly what happend, but it should narrow the possible range at least...
Thanks.
