Can we uninstall the EMET notifier?

Has Microcrap fixed the security issue in Window$?

A previous update installed the patch. It is still installed.

Have they now rectified the issue so that EMET can be uninstalled?

Thank you for the informative link Bob.

I too installed that update and also still have EMET running.

The article seems to indicate there is no urgent need to keep it installed and running.

I would be interested to hear whether other forum users still have it (installed and) running!

I have run EMET on Win machines since version 1 and would not be without it.  EMET has flagged and blocked DEP events several times where AV and Malware systems have not done anything. Definitely a keeper for me.

I don't have any concerns with keeping it on my system, and it does add another layer of security :)

EMET and also using a non-admin account is one are part of good and sound security practices.
These are things every Windows user should be aware of....

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

What are you settings for EMET? (Mine are bold below)

Data Execution Prevention (DEP) - Disabled or Application Opt In or Application Opt Out or Always On ? ? ?
Structured Exception Handler Overwrite Protection - (SHEOP)  Application Opt In or Application Opt Out ? ? ?
Address Space Layout Randomisation (ASLR) - Disabled ir Application Opt In ? ? ?

Im running on maximum settings and have not experienced any issues as of yet. :)
