Hi,

 there is a problem with this product !

 
 The kernel of avast failed to reinitialised after updating database.The application will be terminated.   ??? :( :'(

 

 OS Kubuntu 10.04 - Ubuntu

fine with command:

sudo sysctl -w kernel.shmmax=128000000

 :D ;)

yes, as stated above - this is just insufficient SHM memory limit on your distro.
