Issue with sandbox

Hi
I have donwload the last version of avast yesterday and have the sandbox option.
This morning, when try to open a program NX2 (Nikon), received a message ask if I want to open this program with the sandbox, when I check yes, I then cannot work with this program, and cannot save any images on my HD.
When I turn off avast, no problem to open the program and work with
How can I remove the sandbox message ?

Why did you click yes?
Open it without sandbox, it's a trusted program.

You can add the program to the Auto-Sandbox exclusion list found under expert-settings in the Auto-Sandbox tab.

We are finding that the setting does not work. When we add a UNC path it does not seem to exclude that path. The path is a network path to a windows XP share on the network, and we are trying to run an executable from there.

It keeps asking if we want to run it in a sandbox.

What is the difference between sandbox --> expert settings --> exclusions and autosandbox --> settings --> exclusions?
