Firewalls

I have installed Avast Internet Security and would like to know if there is a Firewall element in the software or do I still need the Windows Firewall?

Avast Internet Security has a firewall. You can see it in the GUI, on the left.. It is compatible with the Windows firewall, so you can use it if you want or disable.. Eitherway your will be protected

Keep the Win Firewall enabled. Avast FW and Win FW work together well.

Its there, fourth tab on the left in the Avast UI. Just double  click the orange Avast blob in the tray.

I could take a look, but I wouldn't be very much of a help there.
I just happen to know as much about utorrent as I know about deep space flight engineering. 

But I'll take a look anyway.
