Client Deployment installion Failure
« on: February 07, 2011, 07:27:51 PM »
Trying to install Avast Client from the Avast Distributed Network Manager Console.  Have found several posts about this same problem, but non that really fix the problem.

Facts:
MS SBS 2008 Std.
All workstations are Windows 7, and all are joined to the domain.
UAC is turned off on each PC.
Avast Workstation discovery worked with out any issues.
We have tested and successfully installed the Client via MSI package, but we really want/need to push the package via the tool like it was designed.

Following is the error from the client remote install log file:

path not found tells me its possibly the firewall

UAC is off, but that doesnt mean the firewall is off...
did you check that already?

If you could get a log from the linux client, that would be great.

It sounds like youre trying to connect via SSL or SFTP and the linux client doesnt know how to negotiate the connection.
