blue screen of dealth problem

I have a client running xp home sp3.
Yesterday Superantispyware Pro running the latest version, 5.1.1108 was in the middle of doing a scan and all of a sudden the client got a blue screen of dealth
here is what it said

It seems to me that while it was trying to scan avast files, avast tried to protect itself and WALLA a blue screen

Why would this happen, is it a superantispyware problem or an avast problem


My client is running the latest Avast Free version

This only happened Yesterday.

Avast free runs a scan On Monday at 2pm,  Superantispyware Wed at 2pm
Last week they both ran their scans with no problems and no blue screen

was it an update def of avast that could have caused this or is this a superantispyware problem

Please, go to folder C:\windows\minidump and send the newest (recent) .dmp files for analysis.
Compress (zip) them and add some information about the BSOD and the link for this thread.
Upload it to this anonymous ftp server: ftp.avast.com/incoming/

It looks like your client isnt running the latest version 6.0.1203 had some problems especially on xp, the latest version is 6.0.1289 http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/setup_av_free.exe install an see if it helps.
If there are still issues maybe try excluding one from the other.

i will try to install the newest version and see if this happens,  it just never happened prior to this
