False virus report from latest update of Avast
« on: December 07, 2011, 05:44:16 AM »
I've mentioned this elsewhere but perhaps it belongs here.

The latest update of AVast is identifying the path for the gallery view and download function in the online Yahoo mail attachments as a virus.   There is no way to over-ride this and attachments can't be downloaded.. or opened.

Path shown as virus:  http://ne1.attach.mail.ymail.com/us.f120..

Hopefully there will be a rapid fix for this...

I believe there has been an acknowledgement in another topic and should be in an upcoming VPS update.
