Before I didn't go on the web regulary (because 56K 
), so I don't really know the soft for who can protect me on the web.... if someone can help me....
Personally I use :
Anti-virus
- avast as main av-scanner
- escan as backup scanner (it uses Kaspersky engine) :
- online scanner for suspect files :

- ewido (only as backup scanner)
- a2 (or a square) (only as backup scanner)
Anti-spyware
- spybot S&D
- spywareblaster
- ad-aware SE (free edition)
Firewall :
windows XP SP2 - behind my ADSL router firewall (US Robotic USR8054)
I may replace SP2 fw with kerio free edition or outpost (shareware)
And last but not least :
- firefox instead of Internet explorer
- thunderbird instead of Outlook Express
At the moment I'm also giving a try at prevx.
The only programs that stay all the time in RAM are :
avast
prevx (under test)
