False Warning
« on: February 28, 2012, 02:20:59 PM »
May I draw you attention to the fact that the recent Update of Avast, though accepting changes made to BBC Basic for Windows from http://www.rtrussell.co.uk/ it is still giving false warnings to the LB Booster using BBC4W designed by Richard Russell as below . An example of a program using LBB can be found at http://www.sigord.co.uk//TEMP/Anagrams.zip which Avast should be accepting but does not accept

> Richard I just noticed Avast is also complaining about the use of LBB

LBB inserts a Version Info resource as standard.  If Avast is still complaining, you will need to contact them.  Send them a LBB-compiled EXE and ask them to tweak their heuristic tests so it doesn't complain. You should find them helpful, because they won't want to gain a reputation for too many false alarms.

Regards, Richard.
