Certian sites blocked with Internet Explorer
« on: February 29, 2012, 08:23:32 PM »
Hello,

I am assuming that this is a definition update issue but wanted to throw it out there.

Certain sites are being blocked by avast (versions 6 & 7) but only when using internet explorer. They work fine in firefox. One such site is "www.elevatoru.org"

Hope this helps in the updates.

thanks,

You never know if those sites are infected. Everything happens for a reason.

Virus Total says it's clean https://www.virustotal.com/url/6919ca5ffe41646ba72ad90cf77ad34d8508aeede758696758fa7b6e3e8f47f6/analysis/1330543630/

Fireflame I agree with you, with MSN and their signin page; it seems the Hackers and Crackers can send an Internet Trojan RA program to that signin and when you signin your computer gets infected immediately.   The Anti Virus program sees it as an administration team simply checking out the number of clients entering their server, when in reality it is the Trojan Worm Virus checking your computer to see if it can get into your AV program and Internet Browser and hide there in it's temp files waiting to activate itself.
