Avast Internet Security: Warnings on car related sites
« on: May 31, 2012, 05:54:06 PM »
I have been looking through few car websites today and Avast Internet Security was telling me that these sites contained insecure content but I've been using them for a long time:

Autotrader
Shiply
UK Autoblog
What Car

Anyone experiencing similar issue? It's really weird and annoying.

This isn't something that I believe avast does, it alerts to infection, not insecure content, whatever insecure content is. Generally I would think that insecure content is 'mixed content' if you are visiting an https page and some content on that page is not from a secure 'https' location.

So as has been suggested a screenshot would help.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.4.6112 (build 24.4.9067.762) UI 1.0.803/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

Thanks for the explanation it seems that I did in fact go to the https sections of those sites. Can't understand why it happened though. At least now I know it's not because of AIS.

Thanks everyone again for your help
