Changed SIM
« on: November 14, 2012, 02:00:58 PM »
I recently changed carriers and ported my number and changed sim.  Now everytime I reboot sms is sent to friend's mobile that sim has been changed.  I unistalled anti-theft and reinstalled it, had to set it up again no issues but, each time I reboot, sms still sent.  How can I stop this.

Hello,

what's the content of these SMS? if you uninstalled Anti-Theft it can't be active anymore.
often users configure other anti-theft solutions next to avast! and forget that it's still active.

Sim Change name
Sender: SIM change alert
IMEI:XXXX

I have no other anti-theft, I unistalled Anti-Theft and reinstalled it and reconfigured.  My Avast account shows all OK, just when I reboot it auto send this SMS it's beyond annoying, yesterday I rebooted a bunch of times and it's getting costly.

Hello,

as I anticipated - this message isn't from our tool. Maybe you didn't install another anti-theft app, but configured one. On some devices the manufacturer offers his own preinstalled anti-theft solution.
