Avast! False Positive
« on: February 13, 2005, 01:34:30 AM »
::)Trying out Avast Home, version 4.5 (latest beta also), and the program is convinced that the driver file for a Samsung ML-1210 laser printer is a Trojan.  File is called ml1210(English).exe and has been used for a couple of years, does not bother other anti-trojan or anti-virus programs.  Tried to send it to Avast, but I guess free users can't do that (it is also ~4.5MB). Changed the suffix from .exe to .ava so Avast would stop moving it to the vault, but still complains about it.  Let me know if you would like a copy sent somewhere for evaluation.

Please zip up the file with a password and send it to virus@avast.com. Don't forget to include the archive password to the email. :)
