Log Settings for email

Hi,

I have been using the home edition for the last few months. Just recently I got two emails with a warning window popping up. I elected to delete the emails in question because the pop up window did not seem to present much detailed info about the emails.

Subsequently looking at the log revealed nothing. What settings would I change to allow me to see who sent this email ?

Both virus message and heuristic warning contain info about sender of the message. You can find it out even afterwards. If it was the virus message, the original mail was delivered to your inbox just with the attachment deleted. If it was the heuristic warning, you received message with subject "[avast! heuristic - WARNING]" that contained info about the original message.
