Avast Updating?
« on: February 21, 2013, 05:02:37 PM »
Hello:
We are using Avast 4.8 with the ADNM console version 4.8.995.  We have about 60 client computers and 10 servers.
I know that the version of Avast we have is very old, but I do not know how to "download" the latest Avast version that will work on our clients and then "download" the latest Avast version that will work on our servers.
The "mirror" process is working and updates our definitions each day, but we never get any program updates that I can see.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Don

There is not an automatic update from avast! 4.8 to avast! 7 with ASOA or AEA consoles.

You have to made a manual migration from ADNM to any of the new consoles.

ADNM and the 4.8 client are fased out.  The only thing updating still are the VPS files.

Like EDJ said you have to migrate to the v7 server/client suite.

since your using ADNM i would recommend: Client + Enterprise Administration Console
Business protection:  normal AV protection
Business Protection Plus: AV protection + spam filter (clients) + firewall and protection for exchange (server) and sharepoint (server)

The interface is the same as ADNM
You do however need to contact support for a new license file (maybe edj can help out there)
