I'm posting from my cell.

Combo ran with no problems rebooted and log came up.

so i took a deep breath and was relieved until.....

I tried to go online to post log.

When i click on IE a window pops up with red x and says....

c:\program files (86)internet explorer\ie.exe
Illegal operation attempted on registry key that has been marked for deletion.

--------------------------------------

OK ignore above. I read magnas post again from cell and he said to just reboot and it worked..whew !

So i tried and tried and same message. Then i tried to
get on net with one of my desktop short cuts.I get the same message for that shortcuts name with same message.

I decided to try many other desktops shortcuts and same problem....actually its every desktop shortcut. I also tried IE from start column nothing works.
i have internet connection tho. avast is still off.

what's. next ?

If you see a message like "Illegal operation attempted on a registry key that has been marked for deletion" just restart computer once more.

Thanks a Billion !

When this is all done I want to make a donation ..I'm not rich but have a OK 9-5 job
and still want to donate .

I put my credit cards on freeze for a few days just in case. Will be changing all my passwords.

Can I start Avast back up ?

Thanks again.

PS: I started avast back up. I think I might have updated java at one point also so
it's either Java or adobe Flash that screwed my PC.

Your computer ( and other user accounts ) are now malware free.

It is necessary to uninstall ComboFix and they will do some post cleaning:

  •   Again, just temporaly disable antivirus.
  • Click Start (or ) then Run.

On Windows7 or Vista you may use Start Search field if Run is not available.

  • In the line of text type in (Copy) the following:
Code: [Select]
ComboFix /Uninstall
    Note that there is a space between " ComboFix " and " /Uninstall " .

    • then click OK (or press Enter ).

Wait for the uninstall process is complete.

    • Re-enable antivirus.

    ----------------------------------------------------------

Please download OTC to your desktop.

Double-click OTC to run it. (Vista users, please right click on OTC and select "Run as an Administrator")
Click on the CleanUp! button and follow the prompts.
You will be asked to reboot the machine to finish the Cleanup process, choose Yes.
After the reboot all the tools we used should be gone.
Note: Some more recently created tools may not yet be removed by OTC. Feel free to manually delete any tools it leaves behind.

    ------------------------------------------

I recommended to keep Malwarebytes and to use MCShield if you will.
You may download MCShield from one of the following links:

    MyCity -  Official download link
    Softpedija - Mirror download link

It will prevent infection by computer via USB flash drive, mobile phone or any other memory card.
And not only will prevent infection, but it will immediately clean flash drive, memory card or external HDD.

    ------------------------------

...and it wasn't been so hard doesn't it?  :)
