i had to uninstall internet security and reinstall using the avast uninstall and safe mode
i have paid version and registration but cannot find on the program where to access that and put my number in

Just double click on your license file license.avastlic and that should insert the license or from the avastUI, Maintenance, Subscription and click on the Enter License, you would need to point to the location where the license.avastlic is saved on your hard disk.
